# Terms of Use for CoinGecko Official Excel Add-in

**1. Acceptance of Terms**\
By installing the CoinGecko Excel Add-in, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. This Add-in is provided "as-is" to facilitate access to the CoinGecko API.

**2. License and Usage**

* **Subscription Required:** Access to live or institutional data requires a valid CoinGecko API Key. You are responsible for maintaining your own subscription at [CoinGecko.com](https://www.coingecko.com/en/api/pricing).
* **API Limits:** Your usage is subject to the rate limits associated with your specific API plan (Demo or Pro). Exceeding these limits may result in temporary data display errors (e.g., `#GETTING_DATA` or API Error 429).

**3. Disclaimer of Warranties**\
CoinGecko does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data provided through the Add-in. Cryptocurrency data is volatile and provided for informational purposes only, not financial advice.

**4. Limitation of Liability**\
In no event shall CoinGecko be liable for any financial losses, data loss, or spreadsheet corruption resulting from the use of this Add-in.
