1. Introduction This Privacy Policy describes how the CoinGecko Official Google Sheets Add-on (“the Add-on”) collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the Add-on, you agree to the practices described here. 2. Data Collection and Usage
  • Google User Data: The Add-on only accesses the specific Google Spreadsheet where it is actively being used. We use the spreadsheets.currentonly scope to read and write data (token prices and logs) within that specific file at your request.
  • CoinGecko API Keys: Your CoinGecko API key is stored locally within your own Google account’s PropertiesService. CoinGecko does not host, store, or have access to this key on our external servers.
  • No Personal Data Collection: The Add-on does not collect, store, or share your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information from your Google Account.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
  • External Requests: To fetch cryptocurrency data, the Add-on sends requests to CoinGecko’s API endpoints (api.coingecko.com or pro-api.coingecko.com). These requests include your API key and the specific coin identifiers you provide.
  • Third Parties: We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your Google user data to any third parties.
4. Data Retention We do not retain any Google user data. All data processing happens “in-flight” within the Google Apps Script environment. Log data (errors) is stored locally in a sheet within your own spreadsheet and can be deleted by you at any time. 5.
